What’s Good
Baby Groot’s Cute Antics
Baby Groot has always been a loveable character, and this time, the makers have dialled up the cuteness to another level altogether. Kirsten Lepore’s writing and direction is what makes this character so likeable. Ever nuance and antic that Baby Groot does in each of the 5 episodes is sure to elicit love and laughter from you.
Vin Diesel as Baby Groot nails it again with his iconic gruff voice. Without uttering even a single dialogue besides saying ‘I Am Groot’, Diesel manages to bring a life to the character and make him funny, cute and loveable. Having seen Diesel in always super-manly avatars in films like the ‘Fast And Furious’ Franchise’ and ‘XXX’ franchise, it’s unimaginable to even fathom that he is the person who has played the character of Baby Groot.
Bradley Cooper in a small cameo as Rocket is sure to make you laugh in that blink-and-miss appearance.
What’s Bad
5 Minutes Per Episode Is Just Too Less
There are very few web series or films where you feel, I wish I could see more of this character. ‘I Am Groot’ is one such web series. With just 5-minutes per episode, you’re left wanting to see more of Baby Groot’s cuteness and his hilarious antics as he grows up in completely alien places.
Verdict
‘I Am Groot’ manages to entice you and make you fall in love with the cuteness of Baby Groot once again in such a small appearance on screen. As a second season of the show with another similar 5 episodes are underway, it gives hope to see more of the character in the next season. This is definitely a Breezy Quick Watch. I am going with 3.5 stars.
